Nope, MMM+castlelink+v1.21 will work fine together, but a higher version of the firmware may not work with certain radios; the castle link & MMM will still work fine together barring any disasters..

We haven't been able to reproduce the issue with the newest firmware. I'll ping Richard about it again.

Sorry I don't have more information at this time.

You might be able to fix the issue yourself by using this procedure:

Using a radio that will correctly calibrate the MMM:

1. connect a servo to the throttle channel and power the RX with a battery
2. note the servo positions at max throttle, neutral, and max brake

Then, using the KO Propo radio

1. connect a servo to the throttle channel and power the RX with a battery
2. adjust the end points so that the servo positions match the other setup

Thanx!

Patrick,

Mines a plain old Mamba Max and I do not have the luxury of owning a second transmitter

Running a Spektrum 3300t reciever and DX3S I can calibrate it using v1.21 only

Any later version and it fails

Cheers

Just tried to calibrate my newly acquired Mamba Max with my KO EX-10 Helios. Tried all sorts, pulled it back to FW V1.21, reversed throttle channel, increased EPA on both the throttle and brake to 150%, all to no avail.....I turn it on with full throttle held on the TX, MM then flashes green and then we get no further than this

Any news Castle guys? Sadly I don't have another radio to try

I dont think there is going ot be a solution if they are/were unable to reproduce the issue. Maybe its time to give up and try a different radio or esc ( which means selling off what you have now ); drastic maybe, but Im sure theres a suitable replacement with the same features and a reasonable price tag...

Man, selling my chosen radio gear because of some software bugs in an ESC seems pretty extreme

If any of the Castle guys read this and would like me to email them video or otherwise to show what is happening then I'm more than happy to help. It's clear there is definitely a problem, based on the posts above from various people. Whatever we can do to help castle (to help us) then I'm more than willing to assist.

My problems went away when I change recievers from a Spektrum SR3300t (telemetry) to a stock standard sr300, seems some recievers arent as picky

Hmm....I'm using a Spektrum DSM Pro receiver....wonder if that has anything to do with it, although I was using the normal grey spektrum rx with the MMM that wouldn't play ball until the FW was rolled back to V1.21.

Using the MM then it has no switch as it's been removed, would that have an impact on this perhaps?

In the SW I even dropped the arming time to 5 seconds hoping that might help too, no joy...

I wouldnt think the switch/ lack there of one would make a difference, just seems like certain rxs have some bad juju with signal strengths/voltages or something like that ( recent thread with a guy from europe who had a futaba rx that didnt like the MMM- only that particular model of rx was a known issue... ). If you've got friends with different rx by speky, or an lhs near by etc, see if you can work anything out with a different rx...

Hmm...I'll try one of my standard Grey DSM RX's to calibrate the MM.....

Nope, this is driving me insane now! Got the MMM to work fine by using FW V1.21, no worries there as it calibrated fine.

I have tried all sorts with the MM and my KO radio and just not having any of it to calibrate. I have tried increasing/decreasing EPA's, sub trims, trims, TDB on the ESC, all sorts. Plugged in a servo into the RX, worked a charm, throw looks great, no issues. Tried reversing the throttle channel, no luck at all. I have no ABS or anything fancy on the radio setup either.

Occurred to me that during use, I've never seen either the red or yellow LED light up at all, at any point, even during startup? is that normal? Beginning to think my MM has a problem maybe?
