Speed passion has Brushless system for Baja - 03.12.2010, 10:30 AM

I was goofing off on the web this morning and found that speed passion has a brushless setup for the Baja(in the 2010 catalog). A 580 Silver arrow motor, a 6s ESC, Cool motor mount and cool battery tray. The ESC and Motor kinda worries me.

At least they made the motor mt a stressed member since that was what it was replacing. Does look nice though.

580 size. We all know what happened to the Feigao 580's...

The mount looks nice tho! And I'm sure the ESC is pretty equivalent to a MMM...

So, if I paint my MMM orange it will become a 1/5 scale controller ( vs the 1/8 controller when it was green/black )?

Hopefully they really re-tooled that ESC. I remember people saying the V1 Silver Arrow ESCs would fry if you gave them a stern talking to. And a 580 in a Baja? Really?

All I see here is a bunch of people putting this setup in their Baja, blowing everything up, and further worsening SP's reputation for large scale electrics. Don't they realize this is just going to create a bunch of warranty nightmares for them?
