JRXS3 antenna wire snapped on reciever! - 03.17.2010, 05:22 AM

After running my brushless savage without a body,my jrxs3 reciever antenna wire snaped,(dont ask me how the antenna tube and wire both dissapeared, possibly from unsuccesful wheelies)and their is only an inch or two connected to the reciever. It still works though looses signal after about 120 feet.
Now i have some spare antenna wire of the same material, does it matter what length i make the wire?If it matters does anyone know that particular length i should make the wire?

I've read about 22 inches... I usually just get a 72mHz wire and cut it in half (JR and Futaba offer some for a few dollars). Sometimes it's nice to be 2.4 with my 6" antenna.
