MP777 Inferno BL conversion - 03.20.2010, 02:26 AM

Hello,

I am going to be converting a Kyosho MP777 to brushless and am trying to find a good conversion kit. So far I have found the novak one (like the price but don't like fact that it limits you to their motors) and one from RCproductdesigns that looks pretty nice.

Just wondering if there is another kit out there that I am missing? I am going to be running 36mm XL motors and maybe a MMM motor later down the road.

Does anybody know if you can use the Novak mount with a 36mm motor? I have searched and searched but cannot find the ID of their mount.

Thanks for any ideas!

PS here is the link to the rcproductdesigns kit: http://rcproductdesigns.com/index.ph...roducts_id=187

The novak kit only works with novak motors- the mount actually replaces the center black sleeve of the motor and clamps around the core of the motor to get better heat transfer & stop the motor from rotating.

The RCP stuff is top notch though so far as I know- couldnt see anything in the rc-monster shop for a 777, but have a quick search in the buggy forum to see if anyone is using something else of Mike's - alot of center diff mounts are pretty universal, just different styles to match the existing/ opposite bearing support.

I know that the novak mount officially works with the novak motors, but was wondering if anyone had tried to fit a 36mm motor in it.
I looked through the buggy forum and didn't find much info on the inferno 777. Then I found the castle kits which look pretty nice, but tower is out of stock and everyplace else wants more for them. So guess I'm waiting till they come in stock again. :(

It wont fit over a 36mm motor (standard size), as its designed to become part of the motor casing, not just go around/over it- I believe the inner diameter is about 34-35mm.

Castle Creations list a 777 kits. Don't know if it's what you need.
