flux gearing suggestions and high speed idler

Doing a nitro to flux conversion and needing some advice on gearing. Here is my setup. MMpro, hobbyking 9xl(1900kv), hobbyking turnigy 2x2s 5200 30c. batts. I'm looking to just bash, keep the drivetrain intact, keep it cool, and have decent run times. If could get 35-40mph I'd be happy. Any suggestions?

Also anybody have any experience running the high speed idler in the tranny? I have to pick up the idler to convert the tranny and was curious when I saw the high speed idler(39) as opposed to the stocker(44).

Going to be rebuilding the diffs too. Currently running stock X diffs with 30K oil. Think it would be a good idea to bump up to 50K?

im sure you know that motor isnt going to last long,and neither will the mmp

your really should looking getting a quality motor and a mmm or rx8

personaly i wouldnt run 30k in the diffs much less 50k, it puts to much strain on the pins and they will fail often, alittle wheel spin will make the diffs last alot longer and the truck will turn much better too

if you gear for around 30mph and watch motor temps closely, you will be fine

the MMP will be just fine. like all escs assuming the gearing is right. I used to run a MM with a UBEC on 4s and 5s with a 10xl and then this motor no probs in a revo conversion.
The motor is not the greatest and I will be going to to something better at some point but for now it will suffice. There is nothing wrong with these motors provided you know how to use them.
as far as diffs go. It all depends on what you're doing. If I was racing, of course I wouldn't use that heavy of diff oil. This is for bashing and heavier diff oil means less diff action and in most cases actually less strain on the pins and spiders.

The MMpro is only intended for 1/8 buggies remember though- if it fries in the flux Castle wont warrenty it as its being used out of spec; the MMM and a 1900kv XL motor wouod be a better choice for 4s lipo, geared for no more than 35mph tops really ( I cooked 2 of those motors with very little effort and reasonable gearing ). If you're after saving money, look into the hobbywing 150amp esc combos- cheaper than the MMM systems and pretty much as good.

Lots of people used to run MMs and ubecs on 4s lipo in maxxes that is true; given the mmpro is a 6s esc, what about a ~1400-1600kv motor and 6s lipo instead- it;ll put less strain on the esc, run cooler and be more efficient to boot...
