Upgrade programme, it was discussed a while back ( mmpro thread I think... )- due to the short supply of mmpros though you will get bumped to the back of the waiting list until all orders & repairs etc have been filled first. I believe you have to fill in the service form on the castle website and make a note that you want to upgrade to an mmpro; cant remember the $ though..

Working or non-working, we will upgrade you from a Mamba Max to a Mamba Max Pro for $80.00. The cost includes the replacement controller, shipping back to you and the normal one year warranty. It is not considered a repair, so it does take a bit longer than a normal repair.

Hmm, I have 2 old dead MMs that could be handled like this...
What is proper way to go about doing this? Just mail them back with a note in the box? Also have a MMM that needs repair, are those still done free? It is the model with the bullet connectors soldered to the board.
I guess I should just make out a repair form for the MMM and mail it back, but I would like to send the MMs in for upgrade to MMpro... Need 1 to run a novak motor (yuk)

If I recall right, what I did was...
Created a non-warranty repair, clicked 'Check Out Now', then 'Process Repair'. Filled it out and put in the comments 'Upgrade from Mamba Max to Mamba Max Pro'. In talking with them via phone, they also had me write that on the invoice/rma slip that goes with the package.

+1 thzero. This will work great, the pricing will be off, but our repair people will make the appropriate adjustments. We won't charge you until we are ready to ship the replacement.

I assume this program is still available? My MM decided to let out the magic smoke this weekend :(
Oh and does the new MMP come with the coupon for free castle link? If so can I have Castle do the upgrade for field programmer at the same time for the extra $10?

Yes, it does include the coupon, which can be used to upgrade to the Field programmer for $10.00.

Good stuff, can I request that they charge me the extra $10 for the programmer and ship right away? Or do I have to wait till I get the coupon? Also what is Castles stock of MMP like, will it be a long wait?

I think they said 3-5 weeks when I sent mine in. However I think I got it replaced like in the 2 to 3 week range. Castle is great; I had an issue with the code on the coupon and they just took care of it.
