My MMv3 is back, thank you Castle, BUT IT DOESN'T WORK ! :( - RC-Monster Forums

Forum bug, I can't edit my last thread, so I made a new one...
Today I mounted my ESC just received yesterday from Castle warranty repair. I configured it with Castle link without any issue. Here is the problem :

1/ When I plug the battery, the ESC turns always ON, no matter the switch position, the switch seems to be internaly shunted. I checked it by removing the switch, the ESC turns ON immediatly after pluging the battery in.

2/ No matter S the battery has, the ESC do the little music, then 2 "biiip", then nothing. The fan turns and the 3 LEDs are "biiping". I checked the battery voltage and try with all my 10 batteries...

Maybe there is something else internaly shunted... I don't recognise the problem LED sequence in the post "definitive LED meaning" :( :(. I think I have to contact Castle support to make a new support request :(. Unless someone here has already had this kind of problem...

Fortunately, I have another MMv3, so I will be able to run

, but for my first experience with Castle support, it seems that I didn't have luck :(

I test it again.
2 4 or 6S, same story : music, then 2 noise, then yellow + green LED flashing, meaning cut off :(

I deactivated cut off with the castle link. Now there is just the music, no noise and green + yellow flashing...

Maybe double check your MMM to rx connection.?.?

The BEC works, my steering servo work. Connected or not to the RX, the ESC must noise the number of S. I already tried :(

If you have a Castle Link, try resetting the programming to defaults.

Thank you for your answer,
This ESC came from warranty with default settings, anyway I tried to reset it dozen of times with different firmware versions, with 2-4-6S, brushless/brushed mode, ... Have done all it could be done with settings unfortunately...
Something is certainly wrong on hardware and it's probably linked to this BEC shunted I talked about below... Just badluck

, there is no deadman (only this one bad thing among 3 motors (2 1515/1y and 1 1520/1y) and 3 ESCs), I have MMv3 backups anyway. Just wanted to know if someone has already had the same issue...

Have you calibrated your radio!?

I had the same problem the first time I fired up my MMP (which failed on me, Castle is sending me a new one tho).

Just hold full throttle on your remote, after beeping go to neutral, after beeping go to full brake. After that it should be good to go!

.... ^^ Obviously lol, in fact to go to the calibration, the Mamba Monster ESC need to count the cell and then start calibration. I tried dozen times it, the ESC just lock itself on its green yellow flashing sequence. Anyway it's isn't normal that it turns ON alone...

Once happened to me, but i've put the esc connector in the wrong position in the rx. Positive instead of negative.

it is not my case too :( The RX works perfectly, my steering servo works. I doubled check this too, there is no way to invert negative and positive in my RX connection... Seems I will have to send it back to Castle

If you've received a repair and it doesn't work, please contact us in tech support. We will get a replacement sent directly to you and get you taken care of. If you're in the US we'll send it with a prepaid mailer so you can send the defective unit back.
