Thanks for the info. Are these the right ones?

I also attached some pictures of my xt8. I not the best at painting bodies, what do you guys think? In one of the pictures you can see how I mounted the rear body mounts. The body is a J Concepts Punisher for the Mugen MBX-6T. The body is a little wide for the chassis though.

Thanks! I have a few RCM stickers that will go on. I am not the biggest fan of stickers. That's why I paint the headlights.

I can't wait to get some more track time. I think that I am going to get the 41 tooth front diff gear and AKA City Blocks for the front tires (I have a full set of AKA I Beams now). The track was dusty and dry and I had a hard time getting traction. It was in the 90s that day.

In your pics it looks like you have a shorter batt tray. Did you shorten yours or did you have Mike make a custom one? I like the idea. I usually run my batt more towards the front anyways.

The only parts you need are the center CVD shafts for the 09 version and the shorter steering servo link tunbuckle. With those parts it should bolt right up to the older model.

I can't decide if its more fun

You need both front and rear center cvd shafts. The joints are not the same for the old and the new xt8 but they are interchangeable. So the joints you have will work with just replacing the shafts.

Does anyone know if the http://rc-monster.org/proddetail.php?prod=HP25C40006S will fit the battery tray on the XT8e conversion?

The batt tray is 48mm x 168mm and that lipo is 135.5mm x 39.2mm x 53.5mm.

Thanks for the info, that PDF will come in handy.

I am currently running the RX8 w/2250 truggy motor on hyperion 4S 5000mah 25C and 35C batteries. Can't finish a 15 minute main right now. My last attempt ended at the 14 minute mark due to low voltage. My lipo was a little puffy, but went back down to normal after it cooled. 5 to 10 minute runs usually end in very acceptable temps across the board.

I am debating on either a 6S 4000mah setup with a 1350kv or 1580kv motor or a continue the current setup but with a 6900 mah 4S battery. The puffy lipo has me thinking about dropping the 4S altogether, I mean, this truggy is pretty heavy to begin with.

Also thinking of switching back to an MMM if I go 6S. Just had an RX8 go bad in my buggy with nowhere near the demands this truggy requires. 6S may be pushing it.

I have the Tekin 1550 with 5s 4200mah Hyperion and I cut the throttle back to 90% for the mains and I am able to do a 15 min main. I cut the throttle back some because it forces me to be smooth and consistent. Too many guys think they are fast but they crash in every corner.
How much does your xt8 weigh? Mine was the exact same weight as my buddys losi 8t 2.0 on 4s.
