Hello everyone.

I have problems with two supermaxx slippers:

1 - I have one with Supermaxx "Strobe Slipper" with a crown mod 1 18T and 51T pinion and I found it difficult to find spare parts:

- Do you know some of the same quality slipper, mod 1, to replace it?

- Could work well a monster with "Slipperential."

- The frame is a Gorillamaxx G2, which would be the biggest crown that could put?

2 - I have another Supermaxx with the e-revo slipper. I would like to pass it on to Mod 1, but can not find a mod crowns. Any solution?

1) parts are impossible to buy, you may find some on ebay sometimes though. Your best option is to swap to the newer style slipper used on the current traxxas 4x4 trucks.

2) You can use the nitro revo/t-maxx spur gears that are mod1.0, they are different sizes compared to the 32pitch gears so you will need different size pinions to compensate.

I have only found in sizes 36, 38 and 40. I asked Mike to see if available.

Does anyone know the equivalence between the crown diameter and 0.8 mod mod 1?

Another problem is that the propeller shaft in the part where it mounts the splipper,
is hexagonal and the Traxxas is round with a pin.

Ah, yes...

It is possible to use the new style slipper, but it requires some clever modification of the input ( top ) shaft:

Now, that^ is intended for the singlespeed emaxxtransmission, but I think if you used the input shaft from a newer style t-maxx ( which is longer and will fit the older style transmission hopefully ) you should be able to do the same modification basically.

As for the sizes of mod1 vs mod 0.8 gears, try this:

Just play with the sizes & tooth counts until you can find the equivelants in each size.

You wont need to worry much about the sizes of the gears ( spur and pinion ), since you are just aiming for a desired speed with whatever ratio is required.

Without knowing your full setup its impossible to guess the best/ possible options your have, but as an example:

Thats 24/66 gearing for 35mph with mod 0.8 gears. To get the same speed with mod 1 gears:

Vehicle Speed: 35.95 mph (57.74 km/h)
Effective KV Value: 2200
you would need 68/25- its not a big difference really, when using a transmission.

If you went with just a center differential unit ( with the slipperentialo maybe ), then the ratios would be very different as there arent as many gears to reduce the gear ratio obviously, but you would still just select mod 1 spurs and pinions that give you the desired speed- actual size doesnt matter so much, so long as they can actually fit / mesh together properly. If we copy the example above, then with a center differential unit you would need 46-48/10 or something in that region to get the same ~35mph speed.

Pinion Tooth Count: 18
Battery Voltage: 19.8
Motor KV: 1650
Tire Diameter (inches): 5.8
Top Speed (MPH): 34.9262 MPH

If you metiese the Traxxas slipper, with the largest cog, would 40T.

I would be:

Differential Ratio: 3.3076923076923075
Transmission Ratio: 1.7222222222222223
Additional Ratio: 1
Spur Tooth Count: 40
Pinion Tooth Count: 14.1177
Battery Voltage: 19.8
Motor KV: 1650
Tire Diameter (inches): 5.8
Top Speed (MPH): 34.9262

I've got one question:

The ratio is the same, but what affects the change made?

Does the engine run hotter?

Does the drive run hotter?
