May as well post my Jammin X2 CRT Conversion. - 06.09.2010, 01:23 PM

Alright, I've been doing a lot of research and was close to buying a Caster Racing R8T for $300 plus shipping. But then I found a Jammin X2 Pro roller for $160. The seller was a sponsored driver and he said the truck has some upgrades as well.

For electronics, I have a HPI badged Monster Mamba and a HPI 2650KV Motor. I know the motor won't work so I'm in the process of selling/trading it for a 2200KV or lower motor. (PM if you're interested)

I will get the RCM motor mount set, but I will need to figure out a battery holder.

Also, I plan on running 4S because I have a lot of Turnigy 2S Hardcase packs. Due to this, I'm thinking a 2200kv motor is my best bet. What pinion would you suggest I run?

Well if you have any info on any of these questions, let me know. Here are pictures the seller posted up.

very clean truggy. Plug you spur/pinion into the speed calc to determine what you might do....

just do a search

Use one of Mike's battery boxes...he makes them for many different vehicles, has a universal one, or he will build you a custom one to whatever specs you need.

What do you mean? Beyond the rcm motor mount, all that is needed is a battery box right?

I've yet to find a place that sells that kit online and ships to the US.

Ofna is a distributor for Jammin, and they share some *things*...

Got the conversion done. I'm running the 2200KV motor with a 14t pinion. Top speed is just under 36mph running two 5200mah 2s hardcase packs in series. Tires are Proline Calibers.

That top speed seem right?

Update. Retested top speed with a freshly charged set of packs, high 39.7mph. Went down to 38.3mph after about 5 mins of running.

Nice but I think u need to put sponge at the Lipo as there's gap. The motor wire is too short too. When the car flex most likely it will disconnect.
