They were Desire packs, 40C discharge rate, 5000mah.
They didn't puff, seemed fine after cooling. We balanced them and then did some more testing. Completely destroyed the rear tires in about 2 mins on pavement. We took a picture with a FLIR and the tire temps were hitting 120C+ ... they just shredded.
Was a lot of fun.
I'm off to China on Monday to approve the motor and get it into production! Should know in about a week when the first deliveries will be ready.
Real Soon Now.

its great to see castle at the top of this game but its time to see hpi traxxas ofna and others step up there game and build a truck buggy or car that can take the power that these system can put out with out needing to be upgraded
keep up the great work at castle ps is there any chance we will see the new controllers installed in the savage flux or erevo brushless in the future

I think they should do away with the current mamba line, and use the ice design for all. For example.
Ice Mamba Pro
Ice Mamba Monster
Ice mamba HV
should be easy enough to do once they get the bugs out of the current setup
Work because i gotta, play because i wanna
People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

The car escs are named after snakes though, so what about the Black Mamba for the MMMHV- to signify its badass-ness?
Or Ice Monster...

I think Black Mamba would be a most excellent name for sure. I can't remember which is more deadly though, the black or the green? I know that with one you know you've been bitten and you die shortly after while with the deadlier you just die. Sucks either way though.

I like that name, even though it reminds me of Kobe Bryant.
