i got my battery yesterday. it is a little longer and heavier than my 20c 5000mah 4s pack. instead of soldering a dean's plug to it, i decided to solder 5.5mm plugs on my MMM and made a deans adapter for the rest of my battery packs. i want to pull some serious amps from this pack and i don't think dean's would be enough. i will have to do some creative dremeling on my lx-1e's battery tray to get the battery to fit, but i will run it as soon as it isn't over 105F ambient here.
i am afraid to run lipos in this insane heat after what happened a couple weeks ago. my 20c 4s pack swelled about 8mm thicker than it's original size and it got to over 140F. i threw it in a cooler and it went back to it's normal size by the time it was cooled down. this pack has seen about 60 hard cycles in my buggy and truggy and it has proven to be the best 20c pack i have ever used, but most of these runs were under 100F.

They say a good mechanic only needs 2 tools - WD40 & Duct tape. If it moves, and its not supposed to, duct tape. If it doesn't move, and its supposed to, WD40.
