The 6l is 4000kv. I would not run it on 3s. Feigaos don't like going above 35,000rpm.
Harold....

when do you run your velineon on 11.1V?

a charged lipo is 4.21V per cell....

so 12.6 x 3500= 44,100

i've had velineons for years, and never burned a single one on 3S. Granted, the 6L is a 4,000kv motor. it would run right at the 50K mark, but i've done that too with no issues.

as long as you check temps often, i don't see any issues. they're strong motors.

Dwight.....

I don't run velineons.

a discharged lipo is 3.0v per cell

so 9x3500= 31,500

I've had feigaos for years before they were rebadged as velineons, and burned several on different voltages.

as long as you check temps VERY often, i don't see any issues. they're weak problematic cheap inefficient motors.

It's neato that you're liking them. They are crap.

CRAP??!! awww...Harold....why?
they're good for buggies and sc cars. the neus are much more effecient, but
since the esc technology is FAR behind the power they produce, i'm sticking with things that don't cause me a ton of financial strain.

i've gone through 10+ escs in the last year. no motors. velineon escs can handle 2 pole feigaos, even novak ballistics. the 4 pole neus run like their on rev limiters. until i find a bash proof esc that can go above 3S, i'm sticking with the 2 pole masterpieces.
