I have two more Mamba Max with the on board USB port. Is it safe to use the new software on them through the USB port now?

Mines not updating through the USB port or RX wire either...
So that's what all the fuss was about...

Download the new update that went live last night -- you will be able to reupdate with the new version.

Patrick, Will the program card work in place of the castle link? I been thinking of getting one and if it will work, good enough reason to get one
Work because i gotta, play because i wanna
People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

Yep -- when connected to a PC the Field Link just operates as a Castle Link. So you can program all the advanced PC settings just fine with the Field Link.
Thanx!

Thanks Patrick, One more question. If i can unbrick this esc, Will it still be able to use the USB on the side? Or, Will it be limited to using the card/castle link to program? Doesn't matter either way, Just wondering

With the "fixed" new release of the software I was able to update the other two Mamba Max ESC's in the house through the USB port with out issue. Both ESC's are working fine and later I was able to change the settings using the USB port so the fixed software seems to have cured the issues with the USB port on the MM.

Yep -- just a silly bug in the release. Everything should work fine after update.

Jon,
Someone should not have told you to send it in, using the Castle Link adapter will fix the problem. You shouldn't have to send in the controller, paying for shipping and having to wait to get it back; that's not fair to you for our silly mistake. Do you remember who you spoke with? There were only 3 of us on the phones the last 2 days; myself, Bernie and Greg, if you remember, please let me know; I'm pretty sure it wasn't me. :P
Please check your PM's, we will get a free Castle link adapter sent to you. It will allow you to update the controller to the latest firmware (V1.28) and bring the controller back to life; it will also allow you to use the side USB port again if you prefer it over the Castle Link adapter. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
