To revive a dead thread, just wanted to get out an update-

I email'd about 4 Computer Shops.
One shop never replied to my email, called the shop, said they didn't have any openings.

One shop, was very interested in recruiting me, but wanted a D/L (drivers license) as they also needed somebody to do on-site work.

Another shop was particularly interested in me starting work around September as he had a guy leaving, but wanted me to work ~20 hours a week during school weeks, something parents didn't allow, so stopped communication for about a month. Just emailed him again seeing if he was still looking for a tech to work Fridays and Saturdays during the school year, as that's what I can do.

The last shop, I recently applied to, was quite interested, but took it that I was trying to learn computers, and not work with the shop.
He offered me a internship with the shop (I think paid), after he talked to his workers, but said he was a "high volume for their low price", and thought an intern wouldn't work out too well (I assume he thought I'd slow them down). Called back a few weeks later (today), and was told they are no longer looking for new techs.

I guess it's time to earn that A+ Certification and then look for another job next year!
Thanks guys for all the advice, suggestions, and support!
