It's cool that you are one of the most conservative regular posters here. We need someone's good sense to rein us in now and then. Despite the love/hate relationship with Linc (as in he loves to hate you) your input is welcomed.

Most people get Monster Trucks (savage) because of the size and ability to overcome obstacles. You never mentioned missing this aspect while driving the 5b. You did mention your dislike for maintenance.

I think you should try a brushless truggy or buggy. They are tough as nails out of the box (low maintainance) and have the plug and play that you seem to like. A truggy is a little more bashable simply because the larger tires overcome greater obstacles, but a buggy gets by on a bit less power and because of the reduced rotational weight of the wheels and tires requires even less maintainence.
