In 8S : 53760 RPM.
That is true nuz but i calculate it using 3.7v as if the motor was under load. So then the result is 9x3.7= 53,280 which is well within the limit.

I have heard that a few people on here have pushed 10s quite comfortably.
So i thought 9s would be more than fine. Plus i wont be running 9s most of the time, mostly 6s or 7s. 9s will be for speed runs.

Wouldnt this be ok? i want to get the most from the motor... They are built well and should be able to handle it right? Or would i be better going 8s?

I think that the 1520/1Y with 9S and 0% punch control will break the transmission instantly But that is what we like, overkill setups
Post new vids when you get this 12S ESC ! ;)

I dont like running anything more than 6s as it is just un necessary lipo weight. But running 9s just for speed runs will def be fun. I will most probably set punch control when using 9s as i do not want to do any back flips at 50mph :)

Nuz the tranny cant handle 6s!!! let alone 9s... So before i buy this esc and some extra lipos, i will do a centre diff conversion with the ofna spider centre diff and the RCM Universal dif mount. That should handle 9s quite well i hope!???

then I would be more worried about the front and rear diff, but the center diff will send some power to the front so you should be fine. On the other hand the front wheels will maybe balloon a lot !

As lonng as i am not violent with the throttle, all should be fine. Look at the guy on here running 14s in his savage!!! His centre diff is fine and had no complaints of his BulletProof diffs blowing...

Tyres will def be a problem. I will probably run the Baja road tyres as they are a little thicker and then do the fishline line mod as well as taping them. Anything and everything to prevent them from blowing off the rim!

Patrick, I have an Ice HV 160 I am using on a Baja with mechanical brakes. Since I don't need the braking features, how about letting us download the car software. My HV 160 is past the warranty period and I want to play!

Hi Patrick,
hope you are enjoying the summer. It's been around five weeks since we last heard from you. Could you shed some light on how things are progressing with these ESC's?

Thanks.

I was just checking on that this morning. They are being scheduled for production. Not sure when they will go into full production, but real soon now. :)

Thanks for the quick reply, I appreciate that.

That is great news. I am up for two whenever they are around. If you could post here when they are up for sales that would be great.

I just noticed that the castle link software was updated and now includes Hydra Ice support. Does this mean these are also almost ready? Is it possible to give any timeframe of release?

So are we looking at software support for Cars for the existing ICE controllers? Or are they all going to be new controllers with the Car software? I was thinking about picking up one of the 100A, 8S models for one of my airplanes, but it would be nice to know I could later put it in car or truck.
