There is life after dirt! - 08.20.2010, 09:25 PM

Our local 8th scale off road track closed..sucks large, and being that I don't enjoy bashing and wasn't going to drive three hrs. one way to the next closest tract, so I sold all my off road stuff and bought a TC5X. There is a local club that races VTA and TC year round, asphalt in the summer and indoor carpet in the winter, so yes Virginia there is rc life after the death of dirt..
Anyway here's a couple of pics of my new wheels.

Thank goodness for that Tekin R1, I dont think any other ESC would fit. Not much room for electronics on that thing.

I love it though, super clean and cool with the carbon and anodized aluminum. Would make me consider running a clear body.

I wish I had a place to race TC's around here.

Handles like a bottle rocket with a steering servo..LOL! Quite a handful for me rite now. For electronics I'm using a Tekin RS esc and the Hotwire pc adapter, kinda like the Castle Link but geared more to on road racing, powering the Tekin Redline 17.5 motor. Airtronics 92624 4ch 2.4 GHz receiver. Hitec HS-965MG Ultra Speed steering servo. The chassis and upper plate are by Exotek, other assorted aluminum parts are Integy and King Heads. Lunsford "Punisher" Associated TC5 Titanium Turnbuckle & Hinge Pin Kit. RPM ball cups.

Looks very nice George !

I have one myself and love it. I had a couple of TC4 Team Kits over the years and the TC5 is def a superior car.

I retired from RC, now life is all about guns and long range shooting.
