A simple balloon & ziptie is plenty of protection for an rx to water proof it, unless you plan on submerging the truck for any length of time. A good, sealed rx box ( traxxas? ) is also a nice solution as it gives you somewhere to bundle up the excess wires. I would rinse the esc with de-ionized water & allow it to dry thoroughly with a compressor & put it in a warm place overnight ( airing cupboard maybe ), then put it back in its case and use the balloon etc.
