Motor mount for 1717? - 09.10.2010, 08:55 PM

Was wondering about some good motor mounts for the 1717. Specifically for Savage apps.

And what do you guys for for Pinions? Where can I find 6mm pinions? :S

They use standard hole spacing and use any normal mount.

The 1717s now come with a 5mm shaft, if you already have it you can get a 5mm shaft from castle to replace your 6mm shaft.

I've only seen one 1717 in a savage and it was a completely custom job. Because of the size of the motor it just does not fit into regular spots well. For a savage you will need something custom.

I have seen several 1717s in LST's. They bolt up using a TheDudeRacing motor mount.

Good luck!

The 1717 will not work with the RCM or FLM Revo-3.3 conversion mount due to diameter of the can. The only mount I'm aware the 1717 will fit is the TDR mount or sumthin' custom as "CrippleTron" has mentioned. It might work with the RCM universal mount tho, depending on space restarints via TVP's ?
