A Averatec is fair laptop and know alot of people that have them and are verry Happy with them.
i have replaced a pannel on one and thay are built well. http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=2525 the battery : http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_trkparm...&_sop=15&_sc=1 or just put New cells in it thats Cheap to do i do that ALL the time. at $3 a cell. thats ALOT cheaper than a new Battery pack @ $50 and up. I have been into electronics for 30+ years and am a licensed Electronics Technician for over 26 years now.
