I use cheap welding gloves from F&F...

1 thing I found out the hard way, bags/containers need to be closed, I set I lipo off in a glove with a binder clip on the end, just smoked a lot until I opened the glove a 30s later... boom...

if you do make a box, make each compartment sealed....

You cannot completly contain a lipo fire. The container MUST be vented..

damn right neil! i sit my lipos next to 5gallons or fuel and a set of fireworks in my garage... that way i know if the lipos blow up, there will be an indication of an explosion and a spectacular fire work display!

But seriously... i think im going to find a metal box as i just dont trust the lipo sack!

I store mine in the open on my charging table. The table is painted metal so there's no risk of shorting out and no risk of it catching fire.

How many here have had a lipo explode on you during plain storage? I have only seen bad things when abused and or ran too hard.

Back befor I knew better I'd put them on the shelf for weeks fully charged, I never had one "blow up" but a few dam sure swelled like a ballon.

I retired from RC, now life is all about guns and long range shooting.

None have exploded yet, and I don't honestly expect them to. But, then again, no one expects to get into a car accident, yet we all carry car insurance (or should).

Like Bondo, I have had a few swell up quite a bit. If they swell enough, the cell casing could break. I just prefer safety since they are being stored in a somewhat volitaile area.

Truth there!

I have always thought to take more precaution measures towards my lipos.

Maybe I will have to get myself a metal container or something.
