A mabuchi 540 size motor is 36mm diameter and 55mm length... and that's defined as the MAXIMUM allowable dimension for ROAR modified.
Lehner XL is longer than 53mm too...
Those are motor sizes, not rotor sizes.

I agree on the neus, but the lehner motors are legal. Are you counting the wires and shaft? If so maybe you are right, but the can itself is 44mm long for the XL

The XXL is longer by 5 mm's
and 44mm long on the 1920

According to the ROAR rule book
Quote:
8.8.4 “05” Size Dimensions:
8.8.4.1 Can:
Overall maximum diameter is 36.02mm measured at whatever point yields the
maximum dimension, excluding solder tabs, screw heads or lead wires. Maximum
length is 53.00mm measured from the mounting face of the motor to the furthest most
point of the end bell, not including solder tabs, lead wires or original manufacturer’s
logo or name. Motor mounting holes must be on 1.00- inch (25.40mm) centers.

the only thing keeping the lehners i mentioned from being legal is the machined logo on the endbell. Will your have a logo on the endbell?

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise
