Yes it's carbon frame. I don't know anything about the running gear other than Dad has told me it's mostly low end gear. Apparently he has tried a number of bikes and didn't notice any benefits from the expensive gear.

I'll try and remember your recomendation if I ever get some pants, thanks.

I Definitely noticed a difference when i switched from my last bike, which had Shimano 105. To my new bike which has Sram Red. The 105 is 3rd from the top of shimano's line, were as the Red is Sram's top of the line. The 105 was very good, but i think the Red gruppo is smoother, faster & lighter.

Ya but we a special breed that notices things like that, average consumer... no clue ;)

Does that mean you shave your legs and arms?

You are probably right. I think handlebars and seat are more important (comfort). Gears are really there for hills and I like to gestimate and select a gear at the foot of a hill. That way I'm not loading and changing gears.

A good pair of cycling shorts are just as important.
