I like diesels, too, but you guys realize the thread was about a completely different type of "powerstroke" right?

Funny thing is, an electric motor of equal horsepower would trump any diesel engine's torque figure.

But draw soo much amperage that the battery system would weigh too much to make the vehicle go anywhere slow

I was a deisel tech for 5years selling performance products. My last cummins build dyno'd 640rwhp and 1213ftlbs and runs 11.72 1/4mi et's. It is capable of 750rwhp but the owner decided not to do the dual CP3 kit and stuck with 90hp injectors instead of 200 with dual cp3's

Aint gonna happen. If you wanted to keep it as a daily driver, that is. If you gutted it and replaced the powertrain with equal weight of electric power it would blow the pants off of at least any other truck.

Thats my point. Dont get me wrong I am all about BL elec. but in a 1:1 truck it would be hard to have anything but heat because of all the weight. That Cummins will lights up all 4 @ 40mph and in 2wd will light them up @70mph
