So I bought a proline baja bug body for the revo...now how do I mount this thing??? - 10.20.2010, 12:03 PM

I will throw up pics later. I have not painted an RC body for about 7 years so I am a bit rusty. I painted her all up and did a rough trim job as I was excited to see it mounted on the revo. I throw it on top and....It does not fit!?

I ordered the "long chassis" revo version (I just checked my tower order page and it confirms the long chassis). I will measure it when I get home tonight to make sure they accidentally did not ship a "short version" (short = 17.63 // long = 19.25 length)

Before I ordered i measured the stock revo body and it was something in the 19 inch length.

The revo I have actually started life as a brushed revo... but they have the same length chassis, correct?

My problem is the only spot it looks like there is to mount the rear posts are the 3/4 inch wide / 3 inch long flat spot right above the "engine". If I mount that on that spot the front body posts are at the very front of the body right between the hood and the very-arched wheel wells. Because that spot is not flat if I drilled holes I would have to smash the body flat to get a body pin in....

Sorry for the hack explanation but if anyone has a baja body maybe you can take a look at yours (or post a pic)? Only thing I can guess is I just painted a short chassis body!!!
