i have an 8L in my TXT-1 and it rips on 14.4v, but it does pull a lot of amps - definately always need a fan on the controller and motor.

i would like to try an 8XL, but i really like the higher rpm's of the 8L :027:

Justin, in this case, get a liwer wind XL. Maybe a 7XL. It rips on 14.4V!

the thing is that the 7xl is still almost 800rpm/v lower than the 8L :002:

32458rpm @ 14.4v for the 7XL versus 43474rpm @ 14.4v for the 8L

True, but you can gear it different.

There's still a 6XL, too. With 2501rpm/V under load.
