Condition of my neu 1515 1y - 11.28.2010, 03:00 PM

I need the experience of the brushless gods. I have a neu 1515 1y built in 2008 I have used it in a couple of trucks a 3905, erevo , and a summit. Never overheated has always been cleaned and oiled. My concern is it has no resistance at all when turning the rotor by hand. It still runs ok in the truck good power low temps but the lack of pull worries me ?

Strange. It should really be difficult to rotate the shaft by hand yeah, but it you are getting good temps after a full run ( 180*F max ), then I wouldnt worry too much..

If the motor still runs I wouldn't worry so much.

I have several NEU 1515 1Y/Castle 2200's, some spin pretty easily some are slightly notchy. All work well and run cool ?

If yours has nice characteristics during runs I wouldn't worry.

I retired from RC, now life is all about guns and long range shooting.

My Tekin truggy motor is the same way. Compared to my old Medusa 36-80 (now just a fridge magnet), its not very notchy at all, I can turn it by hand easily, but it still makes amazing power, and it's never been over 140* F.
