They are usually very good about covering most varialbles that they can control. One thing about experiments and analysis, you incorporate as many variables as you can, and make assumptions about the ones you cant control.
I remember one that I had a real issue with - the driving at night with out your lights on. They concluded that it would be too dark and dangerous to attempt to drive at night (they used a completely dark indoor go-cart track for it). Coming from eastern Montana, we used to do it all the time. At times, it was so bright at night, that you could pick out animals 200 yards out in the fields. |
I used to pass people on rural highways by moonlight with my headlights off. A full moon on a clear country night, no problem. It really freaks the other driver out!
