Emaxx101's 3905 MMM Build - 01.03.2011, 10:58 PM

I traded a member on here my old Crt.5 roller for a MMM setup. I got some broken stuff on the truck right now so she won't be up and running for a little while. Anyways, here's some pictures:

Also, I have a lightly used(I mean LIGHTLY used) VXL system if anybody is interested PM me and we'll make a deal.

Wow, you got a heck of a deal. Look forward to seeing the truck.

Might want to be careful about listing things for sale in your build thread, as for sale threads get closed.

I also threw in some cash on the deal. And hopefully the thread won't get closed. I have a feeling this thing won't be running for a few weeks. I gotta take time to tear apart the truck and figure out exactly what's broken.

The truck in its roller state:

1520/1Y vs VXL:

And what happens when you're not paying attention:

Just gotta solder up a couple things, fix a few things, and wait on my other 2s to get here and she'll be up and running again.

A small update... I've replaced the bulkhead and A-Arms. Decided I'm going to run this thing on 6s now. Oh, does anybody have the cable to hook the ESC up to my computer? Pretty sure it's called a max-link connector?

castle link is what you're looking for. (assuming you have a castle controller). I suggest getting the "field link". Lets you do stuff without the computer, but you can hook the computer up the ESC through the card itself, so it does all the standard link does and then some.

Good luck with the build :)

I'm glad to see that you are making good use of that motor and esc. Where's the running/bashing vids?

BTW, that crt .5 now has a castle 1410 sct motor and mmp running 3s. It handles pretty well and has proved to be more durable than I expected.

They say a good mechanic only needs 2 tools - WD40 & Duct tape. If it moves, and its not supposed to, duct tape. If it doesn't move, and its supposed to, WD40.

There's no vids because this thing hasn't been ran at all yet haha I'm waiting on some steering stuff to come in and my second 3s. She'll be running soon enough.

Well I've kind of gotten out of RC's for a while. Got into car audio, then bought another vehicle. But I have a job where a lot of people are into RC's so it looks like I'll be getting back to it. After Christmas I'm ordering new batteries for the Emaxx. Thinking I'll be running it on 6s. I'm also going to get my MGT running again. Anybody here want a MT2 or a RC18 MT? Thinking of selling the two to make some space on the work bench.
