as far as i know the only parts different between the x and the flux/XL are the dogbones, cups, diffs, and the flux has bulkheads that are all their own, they are just made out of a stronger, less flexible plastic. Im not sure where you got the idea that the hubs and carriers are different? That is news to me if its true.
EDIT: maybe its because the flux and XL have bigger diameter axles? 8mm on flux/XL vs whatever the X has?

See the above quote, I guess they mean the hub when they say "uprights"???

According to the manual the X uses the same bearings that the flux and xl use, so the axle is the same size... The X does use the shiny axles, dogbones and diff outdrives and those are not that strong...

I do not think there is any difference, the arms, hubs and carriers are all the same part numbers.
