The viper looks solid....I don't run solder tab motors due to my non soldering abilities but these days reverse engineering and change xx% and your legal....its a hard market for anything these days
I'm gonna get a Hyper TT and planned to equip it with a Tekin motor, but when the time come to motor shop I'll def consider these Viper mills especially if considerably cheaper ?
I retired from RC, now life is all about guns and long range shooting.

You can fix that pretty easily! It just takes a bit of practice, and having a decent iron can make or break the experience. Check some Youtube vids and practice up on some old or broken stuff. You're missing out on a lot of great motor choices if you exclude motors with solder tabs.
Man, they really need to release the 1/8 motors. I won't be able to get out and run one for a little while yet, but I want to have one in my hands so as soon as the weather clears I'll be ready!
just and update got to run my viper rc motor and i loved it i was able to get 55mph out of my setup after 4 or 5 high speed runs i the motor was warm to the touch so i think i got room to really push ....btw the ground was very dusty with traction compound i sure a would have hit 60mph easily...my current setup is a viper 3.5 vst motor 30 tooth pinon and tooth 72 spur 2s lipo 5000mah 40c gen aces pack looking to go to 35 tooth pinon and a 66 tooth spur on a 3s
