Motor loosening with RCM Losi 8 mount?

Hey guys, I have Mike's mount on my Losi's (buggy and truggy) and in the 3 times I got to use the buggy last year, I had a DNF twice due to the motor loosening and rotating. I think part of the problem is there is nothing holding the motor flush with the mount except the top screw. I used loctite on both screws, but the top screw keeps loosening and allowing the motor to rotate. If anyone has any ideas on how to keep this thing from rotating so much, I'd love to hear it.

Rotate your motor 90 degrees to use the other set of mounting holes. My guess is that the ones your using may be worn and are loosening up from vibration.

I have been running a 1515 on my losi motor mount all season and it has not come loose.. DOnt be afraid to tighten down the motor.

Or you can put a longer screw so you can use a lockwasher to keep it in place. This is how I mount my motors.

Hrm, I may just try torqueing it a bit then. I'm using 4mm screws and this motor has only been used for 3 race weekends with 2 DNFs. I was also thinking about making the bottom screw a flanged bearing supported screw to give it some support down there. I usually give it a good torque down and use some loctite. I'll trying running it some more and see if I get the same result. I only got 3 tests on it before my brand new servo went bad, so I'm waiting on good weather to try again.

Mike is in the process of making a lower flanged bushing (not that the mount needs it). But its peace of mind

That would be some additional piece of mind. I look foward to seeing it. We've got a good 2 months or so before we'll have tracks open again anyway.
