What's the differance? - 03.12.2006, 04:03 AM

What is the differance besides the obvious heat sink motor can on a 540C-8L compared to a 540-8L motor?

I'm just curious if I should wait a while before ordering my 7 or 8XL motor and wait untill the 540C-XL motors come out in a month or so... Will rc-monster be stocking the 540C motors?

Also, The Wanderer XL motors VS the Feigao XL motors... Is the only differance visual and the bearings? Are the torque and Kv of the motors still the same?

Its all the same. Wanderer has better bearings and the rpm rate is done under load.

Pretty much the same motors. The wanderer versions have upgraded bearing (whick allows a higher rpm rating), as the good captain mentioned, but otherwise, the actual construction is the same.
And yes, I intend tyo carry the 7xl, 8xl and 9xl "c" motors.

Besides the finned heatsink, the 540C motors have a removable rear enbell, which is VERY nice to have. That means no more endbell popping and easy bearing maintenance.
