mckrill have you been following this thread on LST HUBS ON A SAVAGE???
as we all know the savage hubs and dog bones are a weak point

LST Hubs can utilise 3 large bearings, and have CVDS and proper hex system.
This is a more robust option... Problem is, the lower arms of a savage are a little short...
But if you can mould your own arms, you could have an awesome setup...

I wuld love to pay you for some kevlar arms if you attempt them.... but have a little look at the thread and see what you think
