Dumb question - Bullet Proof diffs - 02.10.2011, 12:46 AM

I blew up one of the diffs in my savage... if I upgrade to the bullet proof diffs do I need to do both or can I just do one for now and the other later when it breaks??

If you only do one, then you have double the power going through half the contact area... You will end up blowing the remaining one...

the 2 diffs have different ratios so you need to change them both at the same time

Built Ford tough, with Chevy stuff.

Josh hit the nail on the head, different gear ratios between BP diffs and non BP diffs. You can't mix them

RC-Monster RC8T 1515 2.5D/MMM/5s RC-M 4500mah
SC10 MMPro 13.5T 2s NeuEnery 5000mah
RC18T Mamba 25/5400kv 2s lipo + 6s NiMh

Added to my list of things that make no sense at all...

So if he did two he would have half the power going thru twice the contact area? So he would end up getting blow? By Harold?

I think BB16 thought he was converting the Sav to 2WD..... But your interpretation is better.
