Lipo recommendations - 02.10.2011, 02:16 PM

Hi guys

I am looking for some new lipos for my G4. I am running a 1520 with a MMM esc.

I have some Hobbyking 5000 mah. 40c lipos, but want some qualitypacks in stead. I used to run Hyperion G3 in my truggies and converted Revo, but I can't find any 2s Hyperions that delivers enough amps for my setup.

Do you have any 2s lipos you can recommend for this setup?

So you run a 1520 on 4s? Must have some tall gearing to get any speed out of that setup... Amp draw must be a bit high too.

Go up to 6s and get the 5000mah hyperion lipos.

As far as good lipos go, the flightmax 40c 5000mah lipo form HC work just fine with my 1521 neu 1y in my lst.

Actually haven't tried it yey, as weather have been quite bad.

I am running 60/22, so maybe I should go for 2 x 3s in stead?

I'm liking the Turnigy 40/50C packs from the USA warehouse, .01 shipping and they seem to perform at the rated specs.

If I could only draw what I see in my head, then afford to build it, and finaly get to play with it...

I have my first set of Turnigy packs and even it freezing temps they performed very well. Otherwise I don't think you can go wrong with the hyperion packs

RC-Monster RC8T 1515 2.5D/MMM/5s RC-M 4500mah
SC10 MMPro 13.5T 2s NeuEnery 5000mah
RC18T Mamba 25/5400kv 2s lipo + 6s NiMh

I'd say get the 5000mah G3 EX Hyperions. I have G3 EX Hyperions and they out perform any other pack I've tried.

i love my turnigy lipos... but nothing performed like my hyperions... honestly.. the hyperions had terrible soldering, and were put together much worse than the turnigys, but the performance was unreal

OK, I will try out with my 2s zippy cells, and then I guess I am going the 2 x 3s Hyperion G3 route.

Thanks for the inputs guys.
