It charges as one pack so they have to be identical and ideally 2 matched packs which have been used in series. Has to be said i'm loving mine... The balancer isn't that smart though i stupidly connected 2 packs in series but then connected one of the balance leads to 3rd pack. The charger did NOT notice that the total pack voltage didn't match the balance leads... Almost ended in tears |
