MT body on a MBX6T - 02.23.2011, 03:28 AM

Can't stand truggy bodies. Is there some type of extended posts I can buy to put a monster truck body on?

Many of the MT guys like to put truggy bodies on their maxx's now

I think a MT body would look great on the MBX6T, but you would need longer(custom?) body posts. I would try someting like the (nitro)Revo bodies, or a Hummer body maybe. Post pics if you make a good looking body!

Your best bet for body posts is probably Traxxas Revo and Maxx "square" body posts. It looks like you may be able to fit them in the Mugen body post holders in the rear, might need some trimming of the post. For the front, just take off the originals and bolt the Traxxas ones to the shock tower. I forgot to check out the wheelbase of the Mugen, but that would be something to check against any bodies you're looking at, if you care about that at all.

Edit: The longest Traxxas body posts are for the Summit, the ones in the Proline extended body post kit are longer though

I'll be trying the E-revo mounts this weekend. The stock Sav Flux body fits perfectly on the MBX6T so anything that fits the Flux should fit the truggy as well =)

Nice find! Maybe something I would want on my Hyper ST.

Well, somebody bought the last extended posts at my hobby shop sometime during the week That was my fault. I should have picked them up sooner. Now I have to order them online.

With the stock Savage Flux body it fits so perfectly. The wheelbase is perfect and the wheel wells are lined up fine. I tried on a Proline Silverado body which I use on my E-revo and extended Flux and it actually fits good. The wheelbase is a little shorter so the wheel wells do not line up as well as the Savage Flux body. The Flux body is also the perfect width. The Silverado body, on the other hand, is not as wide. No biggie though. Here are some pics of how it looks just sitting on the shock towers. Once I get the posts mounted the bodies will probably sit an inch higher. Unfortunately the Flux body is pretty short and there will be a gap between the body and the side chassis guards.

IMO the stock flux is a bit short... The silverado looks better when it comes to length.
