I am pretty sure the ring and pinion gears are the same for all pre 3.3 maxx diffs. Then they went to revo spec diffs, so the ring and pinion should be the same as the revo. 2 different revo diffs, the ones without the center support and the ones with. Pretty sure all of the internals are the same, though, for the revo spec diffs. Old maxx diffs are junk, don't even bother with them.

As neil said, get on traxxas' website and print the expoled diagram for the brushless new style emaxx. It has the best diffs. Some al diff cups would not be a bad idea, and the ones that are tapped for m3 thread screws (you need to have the ring gear modded to accept the larger screws) are the way to go for strength. FLM sells the cup and modded gear, IIRC.

This is why alot of us went to lst diffs. Even in the plastic cases thay are 100% better than maxx diffs...
