Lock the tranny, but the tekno conversion, use a regular mod 1 pinion. If you really want the ultimate setup, get a vantage carbon fiber extended chassis. Castle makes great brushless setups (Mamba Max Monster ESC with 2200kv motor)

Thank you, this is the type of help I was looking for. It really helps that you know what your talking about. I will keep this in mind and when I am ready to do the conversion this is the way I will go. I have looked at the Tekno kit and like the way it looks but didn't know any one that used it. And as for the motor I had NO idea what to do. There are just way to many different ways to go. I know about Nitro, well I'm learning, but I know nothing, I mean nothing about the electric side of this. So if I could ask some questions that would be great...
