Will there be rooms reserved at any nearby hotels or are we on our own for finding/reserving rooms? Can any of the locals recommend a close and inexpensive (under $100/night) place to stay?
edit - Also, is there anything to do in Chester? Something that will keep my wife occupied for a day or 2

Just kidding Bat. Though i would bring it along, but planned to bring my t4 ( brushed or brushless) to race. The jato with the 2.5 is uncontrolable anyways:027:

There is a chance I might go. My aunt and uncle live in Morristown, NJ, which isn't too far from Chester. Then, using airmiles from credit cards, my dad and I could get almost-free airplane tickets. Then, we could sleep and my aunt/uncle's house, making our greatest cost of living food! While I drive RCs, my dad could visit with his sister and her husband.
We have yet to bring this up with my mom, but when we do, wish us luck!

Barnstormers has a discounted rate at the Holiday Inn in Chester. I'm going to call today and find out approx. how much rooms will be for this event. I'll post later tonight.
As far as things to do in Chester, there's a bowling alley, A place called the Castle - they have miniature golf, batting cages and go-karts and a movie theater. In Central Valley, about 10 minutes from Chester, we have a premium outlet with approx. 220 stores for some great shopping.

SammieO,
Any word about the room rate?
For some reason I just want to go to a batting cage now :003:

Update - The hotel - "The inn at chester" has been bought by a private company - and does not book rooms. I will speak to Sammie and find out if there is any other info - Also - the other hotel - the holiday in - i know the track owner plows their parking lot in the winter - so he may be able to work out something for us - i will try to find out whatever i can and get it back here ASAP....

possible mini classes -
05.05.2006, 01:43 AM
This thread has been dead for a while, but i thought i'd ask here anyways. What are the chances of running a mini brushless class at the get together? I just bought an associated rc18t factory team and would like to mix it up with others. I think it would be a great and entertaining race on a big track, also it would show new comers to r/c that you don't need a fortune to play :027:
