Alternative power source

Check this discussion out on the house floor about finding alternative power resources for America. Why do any of our politicians have to fight for this. It should be a given in our present state with the oil control belonging to the middle east countries.

IRRC most of our oil comes from canada...

also IRRC only 20ish% comes from the middle east...


I have friends that are related to some of the higher ups at exon, the stories I here...


1 power source is NEVER a good idea, but if you combine wind/solar/water/others you could have a consent supply with no "down time" like there is with solar/wind...

Oh I agree with you totally. If it were within my powers I would diversify with every option for renewable self sustaining power sources possible. Wind, hydroelectric, solar, and whatever else I would be able to setup so that our country would not have to rely on OIL from outside sources $$$$$$$$. The money being spent for oil from other countries is rediculous in my eyes, and distroying our economy. I have slowly been realizing just how greedy these companies like Exon, Shell, and all the rest are. Who are totally robbing us into oblivian.

We as an entire human race need to do more not only to get off oil as an addiction, but to support the eco system of our planet by using power resources that will not decay our own existance on this globe. Clean power and clean air should be the focus of every nation, along with saving our water supply before we create an effect in our oceans that can not be reversed and end up making our life supporting water supply so poisonous that it is not fit to drink. or even bath in. These resources can last indefinately if we treat them with respect and protect them.
