Things you do when your layed off from work, bored, and have all kinds of free time.
I already had the CC 1410 1Y in my SC10 with a MMPro. This is an incredible combo. I had a 4s pack laying next to it and my mind got thinking. Motor says 100k rpm max, on 4s it's about 1/2 that. MMPro is 6s capable...let's make this happen!
Just need a stretch of pavement that's not covered in snow, might have to wait awhile to try this since we are supposed to be getting about a foot of snow in the next 24hrs. I took it out for a few minutes but the parkinglot here was never plowed down to pavement to it's pretty much like ice, couldn't get above 15-20MPH before it started coming around on me. I'm hoping for a nice speed run with no body, just an undertray on it.
I am loving the 1410 1y in my pede on 3s. Great motor. I am having good success with te sidewinder sc, but my setup is mild.
I would really like to see the new 1415 motor on 6s... I can see some touring cars going real fast with that setup!!! Might need the MMM over the MMpro.
Well I have abandoned this project, but not really! The SC10 will not be going for any land speed records, I am now the owner of a brand new B4.1 RTR. I have a big indoor offroad race this weekend and will be running a MMPro and 17.5 for that race but as soon as I get the chance my 1410 1Y is going in and it's getting geared to the moon! All thins being the same except chassis, body, and tires I know the buggy can handle the power but without all the areodynamic drag of a SC body. However fitting 4s in the buggy will be a challenge so I may be limited to 2s but I'm still putting the tallest gearing I can in it. It will be a good platform for testing the limits of my SpeedPower Lipo and a CRC 5600 65C battery that I have access to as well as seeing how far this motor can be pushed.
Where you racing a buggy? I have an old t3 factory team car, but I doen't think it would hang with new buggies.lol I can't even get a brushless esc to fit in it right.
They run them at CRC on an indoor offroad carpet track. 17.5 brushless, rtr shortcourse motors or 27T rebuildable brushed motors. There are several older buggies running, even a gold tub
Change your name to E-Racingnut. I think work is ramping up for us to work on sat. very soon. Sounds cool though. Take some pics and post them so I can see if you doe'nt mind. I think I have a old P2K and maybe could jam a mm in the think. Have street tires that may work on carpet. Have to look in my pile of stuff.
Cool, thanks. I start working Sat. next week.sucks. Cool track. That buggy was handing it to the SC trucks. I bet statium trucks would be fun on that track too. Have to plan a bash some sunday soon. Still havent run the Emaxx with the mono block. Run the slash a few times. Thanks for posting the vid. Good job! Get a Subaru rally shell for the sc10 for bashing now.
