long story short, i got a new mmp in the mail yesterday after sending it in for non-warranty repairs and they ended up sending me a new unit and it looks like the mmp has a new case design....
mounts the wires higher and the fan has smaller slits... job good castle!

Damn that's good lookin! Just bought another one but I think it was older stock. Oh well, maybe for those of us who are vain they will offer it as a replacement case?
Fan grill looks cool. Now if they only put solder tabs instead of wires on the ESC. It would make my wiring look better and it's also another source for heatsinking. Yea I know I can buy the 1s version, but I still want the build in BEC
+1 on the tabs. But alot of people forgot how to solder when they stopped using ni-mh and brushed motors lol! Hardwire a lipo anyone? Would be willing to bet the tabs or posts would cause alot of problems by people heating them too much and damaging the pcb. No one on this forum of course but..... Maybe I'll look around and find some suitable posts and just mod it, with cc blessings of course. We could call it the mpmmpro. Max power mamba max pro edition! Ha ha ha!
I like having the solder posts on my 1s mmpro but wish they also had solder posts for the battery wires. Running 1s requires the use of a rx pack or a voltage booster and having the solder posts would make it much easier and cleaner to wire that in.
As for direct solder to a lipo, prolly wouldn't be a great idea! My 1s lipos take 4mm bullets though so I have 4mm bullets on my esc wires, low enough resistance for me.
Was just kiddin bro. Never used conectors until I got lipo's. I hardwired my packs for years with ni-cad and ni-mh. Don't miss having the hot iron o. The pit table all the time that's for sure.
