If I was only quitting the hobby there is no way I would sell my collection. Have spent way too much money on them and there is no way I would get a fraction of that back. Not to mention the time invested in modifying. Instead I would clean up my collection and stick it on the shelf or in a storage locker. I am sure one day I would pull them out for a bit of a play and remind my self of the days I was younger. I kick my self for giving away and selling my Jet Hopper and the Hornet from the younger days. I thought I would never care about RC again and 12 years later I was kicking my self for parting with them. It really wouldn't have killed me to have kept them on the shelf and today I would have two mint condition classics. I am not a hoarder but I like to keep things that have made a significant impact in my life. You can never have enough memories.

That was exactly my point Big Block. Gee is in the midst of a life changing event and has decided that R/C has to take a back seat because his house is just too full of R/C. He is re-prioratizing his life to suit the needs of his situation. He is not just getting out of the hobby. For a while R/C was his life. Something more important to him has over ridden his need for playing with R/C toys. Hence this sale.
