Pawn Stars: Chumlee vs MGT - 12.31.2010, 01:41 PM

Don't know if you guys watch the show, I do sometimes. Just saw an episode where they buy a used team associated Monster GT, Rick tells chumlee he'll pay him $50 to get it running. To my surprise....he does! (probably with extra help outside of camera view )

Guess that means any idiot can run a nitro RC...

I was looking for a place to watch the episode online....best I could find for free is the episode transcript:

http://www.livedash.com/transcript/p...2_2010/327371/

it's made by computer voice recognition...so there are tons of errors.

I'm watching right now..................

Rather, it went off and American Pickers is coming on.

The owner who brougt the MGT in said it would go "Like 80mph" if I recall correctly. Rick was oogling it pretty good at first.

I love Pawn Stars.

yeah, 80mph MGT......
looked pretty stock to me, maybe 80 if you toss it out of a plane, haha. Not bashing the mgt, pretty cool rigs, mainly bashing that seller.

I like Chumlee because he's funny and enrages Rick and the OldMan but the reality of it is that he's a dumbazz. That blank look he gives says it all, "The light is on but no ones home"

I retired from RC, now life is all about guns and long range shooting.

Dont be hatin' on Chum Lee(remember the business cards Rick got him?). I think it's all an act.

The old man is classic.

Has anyone ever noticed how much the Old Man and Big Hoss look alike? Two generations apart, but they could almost be twins.

Ive noticed a few "other" pawn-style inspired shows as well as the Storage Wars, I think it's called.......

Nothing beats Pawn Stars, but Hardcore Pawn is growing on me a little bit.

Yeah, pawn stars is great, old man is funny as heck. I also doubt that someone can be as stupid as chumlee....I hope he's playing it up a little!

They never called it an MGT. They referred to it as a "remote control hummer" with no clue changing the shell is stupid easy.

My buddy runs san diegos largest pawn shop. He says it's interesting....

Chumlee has to be an act. If you pay attention, he knows too much to be as dumb as he acts. I think he is probably smarter than Corey in reality who is also my least favorite. Just the whit alone that comes from Chum's jokes are enough for me to prove he isn't stupid.

I love the show and hope they bring back the spin off American Restorations.

I also want to check out the other similar shows on other channels too.

If Chum was as dumb as he acts and decent business owner would fire him.

He does some very nice work.
