I was skeptical about the 1520 at first, and in fact ran a 1717 as was the popular choice from others who've already purchased Redcats before I did. However, I've found that the 1520 is perfect. With stock pinion I think it will top out somewhere between 45-50 mph. IMO, more than enough speed for a 1/5 scale on a track against the other offerings out there. 4wd combined with the advantage of lighter weight makes this thing seem more like an athlete than other's I've seen out there. There are wheel adaptors sold which enable the use of Baja wheels (for better wheel/tire choices) but they aren't exactly cheap. Once I splurge for those, I think I'll be done (and quite happy) with this thing. Once I can find a camera person, I'll post vids.
