FastElectrics Neu category is filled with these motors now;



Which are very similar to the Neu's.

They are claming "At max efficiency it makes 52% more torque & 48% more power than a typical 1521 package" for the 1521 "lookalike". They even claim that some of them produce 80% more torque than the Neu counterpart.

They seem to have "alternate versions" of 1415, 1509, 1512, 1515, 1521 or something along those lines. They all cost over 300$ as well.

Now, what I've already said is pretty outlandish, and sounds like a blatant joke, but there's more:

So, they refuse to share the SPECS of the motors cause they don't want the customers to buy similar versions from competitors? Uhm, their entire line seems to be a direct ripoff of Neu and they seem to be proud of that fact...

Now mind you I am quite sleep deprived at the moment, so I may have misunderstood it all, cause all that just goes beyond the realm of ridiculous.

And here's their "policy" on motors;

"fastelectrics.com's motor policy is to offer modelers the least expensive, best value, and the fastest motors."

At the efficiencies they are claiming, the motor could be wrapped in a wool blanket and not heat up.

LOL, it seems like more and more companies are claiming BS... We are at go for new Innovation, but there is a limit for reasonability..

My guess is they have made an order with neu for a special wind and that is 'the edge'.

Also, is that hp rating continuous or surge because the neu motor spec chart says a 1521 produces 4.6hp surge whilst the fast elec one is 5hp. Motors are generally more efficient at lower temps aren't they, hence the difference.

Fast Electrics has been in boats for a long time & is moving toward RTR & ARTR. This is part of the overall development of the company - have a look at the new motor mounts, very nice clever stuff

I've bought 2 Neu's from Andrew plus batteries & associated stuff. I would recommend him 100% from these transactions but also because he genuinely knows his stuff

I will also vouch for Andrew. I have dealt with him and got real good service. I know he has played around with some custom stuff made by Neu to his specs in the past.
Looks like he might be getting motors made with very specific specs for boats.

Notice it's the Aussies with positves? Fast electrics is the Australian distributor for Neu motors.

Well if it's all legit I apologize.

It's just that.. how did he manage to up the power and torque by up to 50% and higher ? Better magnets or something? I would like to know how.

I just had another look at the website and the boast is more power and torque than a "typical 15xx package", not necessarily a normal Neu motor so I think this might be a bit of marketing language too.
It would not be hard, I think, to find plenty of motors that can be beat by Neu by heaps in the power and torque dept's.
