you made a traxxas questioning post at the traxxas forums? surprised you didn't get BANNED.

I'll admit I'm sure the savage does not handle as well as the revo. But they are monster trucks....have you seen the real things? I would hardly call them graceful, lol.
If you want something that is tough, but can still drive competitively get a brushless truggy. If you want something to beat on with your friends in a field when they are all running savages, get a savage. You can trade for parts and borrow from each other and what not.

Yah, I know. I guess I felt like I wanted to expose others to the truth...even for a short time. Initially, I was going to buy a savage 4.6 based on what i read, but I ended up going for a erbe. I thought it should be able to handle what "I" would throw at it. Which meant, nothing comparred to what my friends were throwing at their savages. I thought they were almost abusing them. But they would take it! Granted, they were nitros and not electric. I have not seen a savage flux nor do i know if it handles the torque of 6s.

The erbe seemed to fit the bill for a "truggy" type truck with a ton of configuration ability. That's what I wanted, or was looking for, a monster truck type truggy able to bash with the savage. i don't care to rase it, that's the role of high end buggies...i just want to get out there and have some fun, a stress relief with some friends. A hobby!

Sorry guy's....I'm pissed man! I spent alot (over 2k) on my erbe to keep it on the playing field and all I seem to manage is a few (less than 3min) with them. I was warned and now I'm eating their words. Its not like my friends are being rude about it at all, I just feel that traxxas hasn't addressed the weak points as well as HPi has. Now do I just dump the erbe and jump ship to a flux and rebuild all the spare parts list etc? I know the flux will break as well, its to be expected. I just don't want to spend another xxx amount to.....you know the drill.

Ughhh, any suggestions on a "truggy" type rc car I can buy that will handle some rough stuff and keep together for some lipo charges? or is there a erbe diff upgrade (please lsd upgrade) coming or available? Help....I'm about to shelf it for good and I really don't want to.

Here's what I sent to the moderator....

Please help me (US!) then, why hasn't Traxxas come along to provide us with a more beefy diff upgrade. Clearly this is a major topic which seems to come up again and again. Why isn't Traxxas addressing this?

I feel so ashamed that Traxxas will not offer any suggestions aside from offering the following suggestions:

1. go 4S or 5S and stay with the handing;
2. go nitro and stay with the handling;
3. go with the other vehicle and be unsatisfied with the handling.

Really? Is Traxxas working on something to address or provide a more "beefy" option for those of us who signed on the 6S experience. I will be moving down to 3S and if things are going well (aka. i did not break) then I will move to 4s for a run or two. But really, I feel ripped off with this purchase. I really do, its not designed for 6s, it really isn't. My clutch is setup as per the manual, if not a tad less (it will barely wheely) and i'm running the summit shafts etc which have yielded much better results than the Traxxas CVD's. Anyhow, that's not really the problem I'm having.

Whichever path you choose, it's not a great idea to pop back onto a forum after 4½ months and immediately start what some would consider trolling and spreading lies -or at best half-truths.

I'm not a liar, if I did state a lie on my post, then please prove me wrong. I will apologize otherwise. All I'm looking for is for honest advise and help, no offense but your advise (and not posted) is rather trivial.

Is Traxxas looking into addressing its customers out with a strengthened pinion and ring as other companies have or will I need to move to the other side? I'd like to stay but I'm looking for someone from the "inside" to offer a helping hand. Is Traxxas going to help "us" and many of us out there in the near future?

Seems to me that you answered your own question there. Your friends have the Savage Flux and seem to have endless playtime and half decent handling. I get it you wanted to do womething different and maybe out run them, but it is just not working out that way now is it. Just do what you know you should have in the first place and move over to the Savage Flux and be done with it. Sell off your ERBE and wash your hands of all the diff problems. The only real transformation has been to convert teh LST2 diffs to fit your truck. Anything else is just going to give you headaches and keep you tooling on your toy. Screw Traxxas for being bad sports about complaints and dealing with custormer misgivings. I doubt that this is ever going to change. To run a forum where you can not speak the truth and be real is just kind of stupid if you ask me. Why even have a forum if your are not going to take criticisum and work on fixing the issues. Just like Maxamps they just don't want to hear the truth. Good luck and have some fun with whatever choice you make.

SUPERMAXX YOUR LIFE.
